April sees the return of the London Borough of Hackney’s premier literary night, Anything But Hackneyed, run by 3:AM contributor Rik Haslam. Special guest this month is Ronan Bennett, author of The Catastrophist and Havoc In Its Third Year. Also reading is Jae Watson, debut novelist and author of Journey — recently released by local independent publisher, Legend Press of Stoke Newington. Local lad Joseph Ridgwell will also be on hand to read a couple of his poems, which you will have an opinion on either way. It all takes place at the Broadway Bookshop on Broadway Market (previous reader Iain Sinclair pictured nearby) from 6.30pm next Thursday (26th). Next month’s special guest is Toby Litt, ably assisted by Lee Rourke and Heidi James.
