Muumuu House is a new press that will publish poetry, fiction, essays, and Gmail chats online and in print. The first two books, forthcoming March & June of 2009, are full-length debut poetry books by Ellen Kennedy (b. 1989) and Brandon Scott Gorrell (b. 1984). Muumuu House is edited by me. Its main obstacles as a publisher of contemporary literature are perhaps “severe depression” and “lack of motivation in life” of those involved with it. These obstacles have so far been overcome, evidenced by Muumuu House being recently profiled (and photographed for a group photo) for the March issue of Nylon Magazine and that the covers and backcovers of Ellen’s and Brandon’s books have been created.
