Steven Hall’s The Raw Shark Texts (3:AM reviews here and here and Steven’s short story ‘Not Jesus Yet’ from 2005 here) tells us about the book’s transmogrifications and variances in translation: “The UK first edition had green ink, the Canadian hardback had an index, the narrator of my next book has a tiny cameo in the Greek translation and I’ve just added a whole new scene to the Italian translation. There’s more of this stuff to come, along with un-chapters — or negatives — which are part of the story don’t appear bound into any of the books, but they’re out there somewhere…The UK paperback comes along in September and has an index, called an undex, of its own which differs from the Canadian version.”
