flint pecker of michelin man
   emerging mummified
amidst cool broth of eye juice
   the falling leaves are not irish

whose vernacular does the vehicle
   (approaching the fried machine)
pursue when each greasy memory
   honks louder than the dream

salts of the flibbered sea
   perpendicular to a false horizon
when the chemical diaphragm of every iota
   eliminates those divisive tendencies

After two weeks of tranquil nights
In Cole Valley, my portfolio
Is limited to cash advances
All I can buy is water
San Francisco has pulled me into bed
Like an institute
Like I have been probated
Wake to eyes centered on picture frame
Bending over a drain to spit out last words
Spitting out blood and teeth
And stained words of a radical twerp
A fundament of hostile thoughts
Closer to a raw bang-bang hit and run

Travis Jeppesen lives in Prague. His writing has appeared in Bookforum, 3 AM Magazine, Low Blue Flame, and Fish Piss. Neomania, his screenplay inspired by autreamont's Les Chants du Maldoror, death metal, and real life teen killers, is currently in pre-production.
