SPIV DRIVER #8 - SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON IGNORED EXISTENCE

by Travis Jeppesen & Matthew Wascovich

Blip Drip
(Jeppesen)

flip the want to get us through lack of sensate
warmth stare at artificial stars to ponder alone
no remorse for sacrifices inevitable to the stream
"no way out" but laughter the remembrance of
things not said not bother writing them down

Threshold California
(Wascovich)

heckle the permits
in goo and pink skin
shut down the house of relapse
yellow window slits
warm the terrain
one strap off
bedpost
bricks
vinyl
glass
frame and fence
this denseness
steal some air
and gulp it
dark jacket studs
engineer dramatic ideas
post-do it yourself
we'll never live in westwood
thin rubber wipes
in and out
almost homeless
replace and erase it
forget it
put down the stories
for a little ugliness
shots ring out in the business school
under a mangled roof
seven hours
hostage in cleveland
