Curated by, inter alia, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.3ammagazine.com\/litarchives\/sep2001_interview_bracewell.html\">Michael Bracewell<\/a> and featuring <a href=\"http:\/\/www.3ammagazine.com\/litarchives\/2002_jun\/interview_jon_savage.html\">Jon Savage<\/a>, the exhibition charts the period from punk and Derek Jarman to style culture and the emergence of the YBAs, prior to the establishment of an &#8220;environment in which &#8216;alternative&#8217; culture could immediately be co-opted into the mainstream.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As if to prove the last point, Throbbing Gristle will appear <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tate.org.uk\/modern\/thelongweekend2007\/9027.htm\">at Tate Modern on May 26<\/a> to celebrate the work of Derek Jarman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wolfgang Tillmans: Princess Julia &#038; Vaughan Toulouse, The Fridge (1989).
