I
\nlabored
\nover and debated
\nvoicing
\nevery
\nyearning and
\noutburst in my daily chimping,
\nurging my most
\necono
\nlanguage
\ninstead of the
\nzeal
\nangled spiel
\nbut then thought, “fuck it”
\neventually evolving
\nto
\nhear it
\nshoveled into a coal train’s load
\nof dream fuel
\nbrain spooled
\nso tight
\nit sprung – ho!
\n…popped!
\nw\/the thought
\nhmm…
\nsuch a very serious look:
\nyour eyes narrowed
\nbrows furrowed
\nhands gestured
\nas to measure
\nsignificance
\nand accent
\njust what
\nis to be
\nmeant
\noh
\nlittle one,
\nhow tall really
\nyour stature naturally
\nwill always tower over
\nm
\ne
\nso
\nlet
\nthat
\nlight
\nfrom this
\npacked tight
\nflamed bright
\nmind shine through goofball
\neyeball lantern lenses lighting
\ntender
\nscript rendered
\nfrom your tender
\nliving
\nhand
\nand
\nfit
\nand
\nfashioned
\njust, just, just
\nso…
\nmay that crazy fire’s light
\nhelp you
\nsee you,
\nhelp you
\nbe you<\/p>\n

follow the curve<\/p>\n

pelican wings to carry
\nyou
\nspecialness
\no’er the arc
\nof a curved world’s
\npromises
\nsun-warmed wings
\nloft your beautiful dreams
\ninto focus
\ntiny breaths
\nwhisper where
\nthe love is<\/p>\n

\na name of one
\nborn
\nin the town of this stage
\nalso,
\nmy first stage
\nbefore the burden of age
\nanyways –
\nthe cipher evoked
\na power stroke
\nand kept keel
\nunder instead of
\nouter so
\nI
\ncould work the deck
\nw\/crazy semaphore on
\nmy little machine
\nhas me
\nlit
\nlighthouse lit
\nfoghorn fit
\nand the look
\non those kids’
\nfaces
\nmaking sentences
\nfrom my one word
\nhow could they fathom
\nI had dreamt a whole tome
\nfrom those
\nnine
\nspecial
\nletters?<\/p>\n
