Opening night is taken up with a special screening of <em>Bronco Bullfrog<\/em> (1969), ahead of its BFI Flipside showing and DVD release in June.  Director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.platts-mills.com\/\">Barney Platts-Mills<\/a>&#8216; steer was to <em>&#8220;take a neighbourhood and make a film to represent or reflect that place by using the stories that emerged from the people&#8217;s experience and getting the people themselves to act them out in their natural locations&#8221;<\/em>, in this case the Lower Lea Valley of Stratford and Canning Town.  The end result is a rare cinematic outing for the shortlived <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmnoirbuff.com\/article\/suedeheads\">suedehead<\/a> subculture and a sharp soundtrack by The Audience.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cathiunsworth.weebly.com\/\">Cathi Unsworth<\/a> sends word of the Q&#038;A she is chairing for the showing of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barryadamson.com\/\">Barry Adamson<\/a>&#8216;s debut short feature <em>The Therapist<\/em> (7.45pm on 27 April, at The Cole, 91 Hanbury Street, London E1 6QR:  \u00a37.50 in).  Also showing is the Carl Barat-narrated documentary on the culture of London&#8217;s docks, <em>The Rime of the Modern Mariner<\/em>, and the premiere of the early 80s-set policing and politics drama <em>SUS<\/em>.
