the sun peeks through the sheet shade<\/p>\n
new house<\/p>\n
old house<\/p>\n
new me<\/p>\n
still me.<\/p>\n
the sun comes barreling through<\/p>\n
your back <\/p>\n
your neck<\/p>\n
your cheek<\/p>\n
i’m awake.<\/p>\n
the sun takes the nights<\/p>\n
and wraps them in moss<\/p>\n
sticks them in the back of my throat<\/p>\n
where all the dreams and thoughts and words go<\/p>\n
that choke me when i blow out my birthday candles<\/p>\n
but <\/p>\n
i never speak of them<\/p>\n
again.<\/p>\n
