We value the bold, the considered and the deft.<\/p>\n<p>The window for submissions begins today<strong> \u00a0March 21st 2017<\/strong> \u00a0and will remain open for four weeks: the closing date for submissions is <b>April 21st 2017<\/b> \u00a0(GMT). Any work sent after midnight on this date will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Please find a list of guidelines as per the submissions process below. We look forward to reading your work.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>\u2014 \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/GiantRatSumatra\" target=\"_blank\">Eley Williams<\/a> \u00a0and \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/peeppeepeep\">Hestia Peppe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fiction Co-Editors<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Before sending a piece, please do read previous work that has appeared on \u00a0<em>3:AM<\/em>&#8216;s Fiction pages. Many recent and archived pieces are available \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.3ammagazine.com\/3am\/\/index\/fiction\/\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Individual submissions should be \u00a0<strong>no longer than 2500 words<\/strong>. Although the editors have a strong interest in short pieces of fiction, standalone extracts from longer works will also be considered.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Pieces should be \u00a0<strong>previously unpublished<\/strong> \u00a0in English. This includes publication on personal blogs or forums. New translations are welcome and encouraged. In each case, however, the written permission of the original writer\/publisher must also be provided.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">No more than one piece of work \u00a0per call for submissions,<b> multiple submissions will not be read<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Entry is free. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">All submissions must be made \u00a0<strong>electronically<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Please email your writing as an \u00a0<strong>attached .pdf, .doc or .docx file<\/strong>, with your \u00a0<strong>name + title \u00a0<\/strong>in the file&#8217;s name. For example, FIRSTNAME_SURNAME-SUBMISSION_TITLE.docx.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Along with your work, please include a short third person \u00a0<strong>biography<\/strong> \u00a0in the body of your email (not in any accompanying attachment). Include any links to work elsewhere that you would like published alongside your piece if it is accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Simultaneous submissions are welcome<\/strong>, but please do inform the editor at the below address immediately should your piece be accepted for publication elsewhere.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em> \u00a0<\/em>We seek diverse writing by a \u00a0<strong>diversity of authors<\/strong>.
