The most radical element of punk was the refusal of sex. Sid Vicious said sex is two minutes and 19 seconds of squelching noises. A revulsion about sex, it was something complacent Californian hippies did. The drug culture at the time was completely amphetamine based, so you couldn’t if you wanted to. You didn’t have the wherewithal.
