Poem Brut #84 – Totems
They are based on the badges and emblems of various vehicles that I have sourced from the ‘vehicle parts’ category of Ebay. Many of these text-symbols have been designed to convey the ideas of speed and movement in the direction of the text. I have attempted to harness and redirect this energy by mirroring and rotating images of these badges to create symbols with a vertical energy. I think they hint at a sense of worship in this orientation.
In the 84th of the Poem Brut series, new poetry by Leo Fitzmaurice.
