Tom Hodgkinson launches The Idler 43: Back to the Land tomorrow night at Rough Trade East:
“The music and talk will go from six to eight pm. Your DJ will be Tim Burgess of the Charlatans, and on stage there’ll be Zodiac Mindwarp, Youth, Louis Eliot, Ian Bone with Ray Roughler-Jones, Asbo Kid and if you are very unlucky, me, Tom Hodgkinson, on the ukulele. Afterwards we’ll repair to local boozer, The Pride of Spitalfields (there’ll be no bar or food at the shop). You can buy your copy on the night or from the Idler‘s online shop. It’s our Back to the Land issue, and features a major interview with David Hockney among many other delights. Get there early: it’s gonna be a roadblock!”
